  • In 1984 floating docks were constructed by members and put in near where the present Brickyard Marina is. They were put in prior to the Gathering of the Clans (July 1) that year as dock space for visitors.
  • In 1985 the club obtained a 3 year lease on the old lobster factory building across the street from the present Yacht Club. Also this year plans were progressing for a full service marina at our present location.
  • In 1987 - A grant from government was approved for $50,000 toward a new marina.
  • In Feb. 1988 the club was looking at a permanent site for the marina at Port Howe.
  • In Oct. 1988 the club house building was returned to Seagull Pewter as the lease ran out.
  • April 1989 - The club considered putting the new marina at its present site.
  • Nov. 1989 - Work began on the floating docks over the winter. Harrison’s was contracted to build the docks. The project cost was estimated at $90,000.

  • July 1990 – Harrison’s completed construction of the docks.
  • Aug. 1990 – The club was looking at a houseboat to serve as a club house.
  • 1991 – The houseboat was launched. However this clubhouse eventually sank.
  • Aug. 1993 – The houseboat was sold.
  • 2003-2005 – The dock anchoring system was upgraded and new pilings were driven to anchor the docks.
