About US

On September 24, 1983, a group of folks calling themselves “boat people”, held a meeting with the ambitious goal of forming a yacht club and developing a full service Marina in Pugwash. A slate of officers was appointed with Bill Mundle, an avid sailor, elected as the first Commodore.
Thirty-nine years and numerous “studies” later, the ultimate goal still remains. We have made much progress the infrastructure growing from 14 dock spaces to 23, building a small clubhouse, connection to the Municipal water supply, water and electricity to the docks.
We are currently working diligently to procure final regulatory approval that will allow us to dredge. Dredging will enable us to double our docking capacity, construct a boat launch, and provide fuel service – thus becoming a long sought after full service Marina.
