STAY TUNED FOR UPDATES REGARDING 2026 YOUTH SAILING SCHOOL!
Last summer (2025) the Pugwash Yacht Club sponsored a Sail Nova Scotia Youth Sailing School. In 2025 year there were two courses offered; 2026 Youth Sailing School dates and format are in motion and will be updated soon.
2025 Course 1. A five-day course from July 7th to 11th. This introductory program will be open to 8 participants aged 8 to 10 years under the coaching of two qualified instructors; and
2025 Course 2. This course will be conducted over two weekend sessions: July 12 & 13th and July 19th & 20th for youths aged 11 to 13 years an a larger 23ft sail boat coached by one qualified instructor. This course can accommodate 12 participants.
In 2025 All Sessions were conducted at Crescent Beach, Pugwash, Nova Scotia.
Registration is always on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost to attend is (2026 fees to be updated) per student and is payable at the time of applying. Download the application form below and send payment via Interac e-transfer to pugwashyachtclub@gmail.comwhere it will be automatically deposited. Should there be no space available, your deposit will be refunded on day two of the school to allow for potential last minute drop outs.

We are also requesting volunteers to provide supervision on land for Course 1 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM each day of the course, especially during lunch time. Volunteers can split the day to ensure at least one adult is available particularly as a go-to person should a student need attention for an unforeseen event aside from the sailing instruction.
